Banks offer these loans, which have special, favorable terms, to physicians right out of residency, reports the online resource for managing and eliminating student loans and personal debt. Those who wish to apply must have proof of their medical degree, a signed contract that shows they have a job as a physician that begins within 60 to 90 days, a FICO score of roughly 700, deferred student loans, and a debt-to-income ratio of 45 percent or less (not including student loans).
