The multi-platform media company reveals how health systems are recovering lost patient revenues by eliminating obstacles to treatment access and decreasing operational costs through partnering with a ridesharing service that qualifies as non-emergency medical transportation. One health system states its partnership with Lyft resulted in a 32 percent cost reduction in transportation services, 30 percent shorter wait times for patients, and 80 percent patient satisfaction.

 

    • A recent Healthcare Finance post highlights a Navigant/Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) study of provider executives regarding labor productivity, staffing shortages, and operating expenses. The analysis indicates clinician shortages are challenging hospital leaders to decrease labor costs.
