Recruiting for a General/Bariatric Surgeon
Description of Need:
General/Bariatric Surgeon needed for call coverage only
Must be fellowship trained in Bariatrics
Board certified a plus, will consider board eligible
Bread and Butter General Surgery
While on call, will possibly have to deal with post op, bariatric complications
Weekends:
3/23 at 5pm thru 3/26 at 8am
3/29 at 5pm thru 4/2 at 8am
4/20 at 5pm thru 4/23 at 8am
4/27 at 5pm thru 4/30 at 8am
*Probably will extend, no permanent candidates on the hook
We are currently looking for Board Certified Neurosurgeons with active Mississippi licenses. The facility is looking to hire a permanent physician and will require locum tenens coverage while they conduct their perm search.
This will involve both Clinic and call coverage.
Schedule
Length of Assignment: on-going
Hospital Call/ Call: Yes/ weekend, nights and clinic; willing to take Trauma Call
Hours: Clinic 8- 5p, 4.5 days/week
Candidate Requirements
Board certified: Yes or Board Eligible within the reasonable time frame.
EMR Trained: Yes, but not required
Type of Experience: General
Privileges Required: Yes, credentialing required: 8 weeks, but can rush if needed.
Certification Requirements: ACLS
Ideal Candidate: (brief description) would need to have an interest in Inpatient and Outpatient surgery. Inpatient surgery- spine and brain. Would need to take Trauma call.
Site Information/Staff:
Average patient load depends on the practice or referrals from the surrounding sources.
Additional staff: 3, one being an extender
Number of Consults per week: on average 10-15
Specific procedures required: Typical spine and brain -neurosurgery.
Medicus has partnered with several reputable PMOs who hold Emergency Medicine contracts at hospitals throughout the state of Ohio. We are currently booking out through the end of the year at all of these locations. Working at one of these Ohio facilities will open up additional opportunities with the PMOs at their locations around the country.
Large level 2 trauma center looking for additional physician coverage due to expansion. ABEM certification required. Also need to have PALS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications.
